Didn't they make a Brady Bunch special that was a multi-parter about a camping trip?

Courtesy of TV.com, here is the recap. (sorry, doesn't look like a multi-parter)

Season 1 Episode 8

A Camping We Will Go

Quote:
Mike and Carol prepare for a family camping trip. However, the boys are not thrilled that the girls will be coming along. Meanwhile, the girls aren't exactly thrilled about sleeping in the wilderness. Later on the trip, things go awry when the girls mess up the boys fishing plans and freak out when they hear owl hoots.

Great episode!

I remember when they were stranded (I think) in the old Ghost Town and then locked in the jail cell.

Also may remember the one your talking about Suz, didn't the Indians find him and take him back or something?

Dan Akroyd + John Candy = funny movie.

Continental Divide could also be a choice. John Belushi and Brooke Adams from 1981

"Chato's Land" with Charles Bronson....It's kinda like camping. Bronco Apache leads posse into the desert where he kills them one at a time, slowly. He sleeps outdoors, anyway...

And of course there is Daddee's favorite, "Night of the Lepus", where giant rabbits (from an atomic test blast, of course) terrorize Ajo Arizona. Adults may need thorazine and Depends to cope with laughter from the 50's "Special Effects".

Harder to find options include "Night of the Hoolus" where an addled retiree full of martinis terrorizes a campsite with a seven iron and a dozen buckets of range balls; and "Borracho Cabrillo" where a wild half boy-half goat goes nuts with a spotlite in bat country.

Deliverance is the best camping movie of all time and should be mandatory viewing for all rookie hikers/backpackers hunter

Dittoes on that one! I also like that long somewhat boring but beautiful movie "A River Runs Through It." (I actually read the book first.) It's a true story, by the way. But young kids would probably be bored to death by it.
