As I promised here is the name of the Anti-itch lotion that I used last time for the bug bites I had from West Clear Creek. My Doctor recommended it and it worked well for me, better than Caladryl did.

The lotion is called: SARNA anti-itch lotion

Bought it at Walgreens. Dr said to ask over the counter, however it was on the shelf and not over the counter. So if you can't find it ask at the counter.

Yup, Sarna does work! Better than Calamine IMO.

I always thought that was a funny name.

"Sarna" is the Portugese word for "Scabies" - and scabies are NOT fun.

You know what, now that you mention it...I think the doc mentioned something about that name and that they sometimes recommend it for SCABIES.... I just didn't remember that part. Rolling Eyes

The Sarna seems to be more of an anti-itch/moisturizer. Yes, I went out and bought a bunch of stuff for the next time.

I also bought Corti-Cool, and clear Benadryl lotion.

I'm doing a leg-to-leg comparison with the Sarna amd Corti-Cool. Both cut the itch like right now. The Corti-Cool seems to keep the bites drier. Caladryl does the same thing. The Benadryl seems to do as well as the Caladryl. Used the Caladryl last night. Been using that for years, just not the clear stuff.

I think I'm set for the next run-in with them little bastards.

What the heck bit all you folks? I never got a nibble and I've never been insect bitten in the state of Arizona.

IGO, be very very glad you haven't been bit. If the bites are anything like West Clear Creek, they are just awful and take forever to stop itching. I mean weeks....

I don't know why I didn't get eaten. One reason I love Arizona Outdoors is the lack of bighting insects in most places. I don't think sweet is it, you're sweeter'in me but speaking of lollygaggers, I was the last one out of the Canyon. Go figure.
