We are three; Deanda, Kim and me.

I'm bringing 10 gallons of water along with our food, coleman stove, cooking utensils, sodas, rum, tent, sleeping gear, 1M light, etc.

I am solo in the Wrangler, bringing extra gear for it and any mechanical issues we could encounter; of course my own personal gear camping wise--food etc.

My co-workers, Allan, Lawrence , Clarence (big time hiker New Mexico area), Alejandra are in Lawrence's big truck and bringing all their honking big car camping stuff, 10 gal water etc.
They are bringing a fire ring and charcoal. I don't think it's gonna be that cold tho but could be nice to have.

Since we are small we can be more relaxed about times, that will be good. Lawrence asked what would I do if they were not ready when we came by----I said "Why drive on of course"---the look on his face was priceless.

We can hike a little more maybe--- and look for points of interest.

Oh, I'll be at the Copper Sands motel slightly north of Ajo, in the evening sometime.

I'm bringing my Baby Q gas grill....and it works, unlike the full sized grill Evil or Very Mad Plenty of propane so feel free to grill something Sat. night!
four gallons of water plus 100 oz in my Camelbak. Gentleman Jack, beer, (but not much 'cause it's beer I had to pay for therefore it don't taste right!) I'll be sleeping in the X; Ambika's bringing her tent, ice chest, chair and small table.
Have rooms reserved for Ambika and I at La Siesta motel in Ajo and will probably get there by around 9:00 p.m.

Re: No ground fires are allowed in Cabeza Prieta. Must bring fire ring/pan to have a fire. I have gotton different deals with wood, one thing I read said no wood even if you bring it???!!! Another said charcoal, another said no gathering of even downed wood. So George I guess bring the wood and we'll see what happens.

I hate darned regulations!!! Ya'll know this has to be a pretty good trip for me to put up with this permit crap and all it entails.

See you guys Sat, Hooli I am going to keep my room at Copper Sands, as I have waited too long to cancel without penalty. If I see the Xterra and its not too late I will stop by!!!

Ooops. You're right, no campfires. The video talked about campfires and encouraged bringing your own wood. However, the packet they gave us says no campfires until further notice. There's also a large area that's off limits due to fire danger. Now we have wood for next GHOTM, if it's in a non-restricted area.
