Here is another good one, today only! If you want a true 2 person tent so that you can be comfortable enough to sit out a storm this is your tent.

Sierra Designs Hyperlight 3 AST Tent - 3-Person 3-Season $172.3849% Off, Regularly $339.90

Quote:
The Sierra Designs Hyperlight 3-Person 3-Season Tent is burly enough to withstand a serious storm and light enough to satisfy your ounce-counting obsession. Though it weights only 5lb 14oz, this tent uses Sierra Designs' tough Jake's Corner pole system to increase strength for the big storm that's coming. Not only does the Hyperlight Tent sleep three hikers comfortably, it also has two 5sq foot vestibules for extra, out-of-the-rain storage.

Quote:

Features:
Material:
Floor:70D Taffeta nylon 1800mm
Body: 40D nylon ripstop
Fly 40D HT ripstop nylon 1500mm PU/silicone

Poles: 2 and Jake's Corner
Pole Material: DAC Featherlite
Doors: 2Clip/Sleeve Clip
Floor Space: 98 x 126in,
44sq ft
Interior Height: 41in
Vestibule Space: 11sq ft
Seam Sealed: Yes SuperSeal

BodyPacked Size: 21 x 6in

It gets my vote for a real 2 person tent.

You bastard. I was looking at this. Not quite sure I like their "design" just yet. Would make a good "split the weight" tent.

Is Sierra Designs coming out with some new stuff, or what?

Yes the "Jakes Corner" is just a waste of space thats why I would never consider it a "3" person tent. But 44sq feet is not bad for 2 people, carrying 3#'s a piece.

They did come out with a "Hybrid" like many other people are doing called the Baku, but they are $$$ the 3 person is the only one that worth a crap in my opinion thats 42sq feet at 5#3oz but $359.

Oh! Brownie points for Mike!! Have you been taking lessons from Hooli?

I snagged a size 6 before they ran out. I'm not sure if that will be small enough but it was only 19.13. Keeping my fingers crossed. crossed fingers

Yes, I'd like to get some additional practice in before I get myself stuck in a slot canyon..........Hank?
