Hello everyone!
I'm elated that this is happening so quickly. Thanks GTG and Mike for gettin' this thing going. Enjoyed meeting with all of you Friday night. I'm working on getting some graphics done for the site, which Mike will probably be posting for a vote. In the mean time here is a blast from the past.
Some things will remain the same:

Hi everyone! Holy Moly, what got into Joe? One day everything is going strong, the next everything is for sale and the next it is all dissapeared. Joe would not answer my email. If anyone was close to him or knows the answer to the mystery, I would like to know as well.
Anyway, enough of all that. It's time to move on. Very nice site and thankyou for setting it up Mike. _________________ Seize from every moment its unique novelty and do not prepare your joys

Gonna e-mail a copy of that to a bunch of folks to show what a California Boy can turn into after just two years in Arizona _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero

Thank you Mike and GTG for putting this together. I enjoyed meeting with you folks. I should have taken the opportunity and nighthiked the North Mountain preserve area. |

Really like the idea of this site being a "Community"; a couple of folks who were pretty quiet at the previous site have told me they plan to become more involved here, which is great. The strongest communities are the ones with the most members personally involved, so let's show GTG and Mike how much we appreciate what they've done for us by making ArizonaHikers.com among the strongest communities on the internet! _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero

Higgs hit the trails yesterday!! Did the Black Mesa Loop!! It was awesome to have him back on the trails again... sorry, I was too excited to wait for him to reply himself. But I will hush-up now and let him tell you the rest _________________ Blond, James Blond... double "O", uh oh!!

WOW, I was so happy to log onto the new site! What a great way to start the new year... for every old door that closes, a new one opens! Thanks GTG and everyone, I am looking forward to being a part of the site....drastic changes for me too, I will be a new Tucson connection in 2003, as I met the hiking partner of my dreams and will be relocating. Already checked out Ventana and Sabino canyons this weekend, so look out, I plan on keeping everyone up to date on the southern part of the state. Rock on everyone!

Congrats Sande! You'll enjoy the area. Try the Super Trail to the summit of Mt Wrightson. It could be done as a day hike, (about 12.5 RT) but the night view from the summit is sooo awesome, you can see every light for about 150 miles....
Then there's Marshall Gulch, and Butterfly, and the Rincons, and the Galiuros, the Chiricahua Crest Trail, and the......on and on and on.
Best wishes! -Randy |

Good for you. Always nice to find a good hiking partner. Now all you need is to find a good husband/companion....
