Colorado River Margaritas:

1 Nalgene bottle and 20 feet static cord
4 heaping tablespoons dehydrated Lime Gatorade
5 ounces Jose Cuerzo Espacial Tequila (or any other)
Large dash of salt
apx 20 ounces filtered Colorado River water

Immediately upon reaching camp, mix Gatorade and Tequila in Nalgene bottle. Tie off bottle with satic cord. Toss in mild section of rapids. Set up tent then serve with dash of salt. Applause

tell ya something guys, if you drink quality Tequila, you never need mixes and salts and sugars. If the bottle doesnt say `100% puro agave' it is not real stuff

sorry, Im a Tequila snob.
Dont have to spend mucho dinero either... Cazadores si bueno, costs much less than the inferior Cabo Wabo or Patron.
DR., if you want some juice I can swing it, otherwise I was thinking Cinnamon Schnapps with hot apple cider

If you're a real adventurer, try a straighht shot of 151 right out of a pack on a warm late spring day. That's an experience everybody should have once in a backpacking career. Goes down in a vapor, not fluid. Silly

Or just pony up and bring the Everclear 200 proof. Straight grain ETOH. That'll knock your kid in the dirt.

cool, thats a good idea.
too bad no snow?
don julio is o.k.
if you really like the complexity of the barrel and aging try these:
Zafarrancha Reposado
Herencia Anejo
and the top dawg, Casa Noble
the latter comes in a black porcelain bottle hand painted with 24k gold by some locals in Guadalajara, MX and will run $130 if youre lucky.
Im savin' up
