The time has past in Iraq. Our husbands, wives, sons, and daughters will put their lives on the line for us. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers please. I intend to honor them by excercising my freedom to its fullest. Please join me.

Go to work. Go on hikes. Teach your children well. Engage in debate here and elsewhere. Respect the opinions of others even if they differ from yours. Know who your government representatives are and express your opinions to them. Enjoy yourself, enjoy your freedom.

My stepson is on the front lines. I'm proud of him. I thank him for protecting us. If you have a loved one involved in the effort, post it here and I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks

I hear ya Mike! My husband is currently on shore duty, thank God. He already did his time in Afghan back in late 2001. Unless things get a lot worse he will be running the home front. I sure will keep all those brave men and women in my prayers!

A Military Thank You

If you are so inclined, visit the Department of Defense web page below and sign a brief message thanking the men and women of the U.S. military services for defending our freedom.

The compiled list of names will be sent out to our soldiers at the end of the month. So far, there are only about 2,505,787 people have signed to date. What a shame. There should be hundreds of millions of thank you's. Pass the word that we can honor and support the defenders of freedom during National Military Appreciation Month.

It takes only 10 seconds...literally. (Please pass it on to your email friends)

Thanks everyone for your posts!

Thoughts and prayers have already been going their way. Now they're just a little more fervent.

I have always respected our men and women in arms. They serve an honorable purpose, and their dedication to serve in lousy conditions, for lousy pay and occasionally under the most hazardous conditions imaginable, only indicates the special type of person it takes to be one of those on the front lines protecting our freedoms.

May God bless them all.

My younger brother is serving in the Navy, he was in Desert Storm too. My son is training in the Marines, he will graduate at the end of this month from boot camp. They are in my thoughts frequently these days. My brothers family is torn apart, the kids have been moved out of state, I hope their sacrifice is enough, and it will end soon. War sucks.
