I agree. The voting is the way to go. Pouting will definitely ensue but it won't be the first time for that and it won't be the last. Either way every one who does get to go should have a great time I am sure!

That said, does any one have a vote for sale!? Wink Chuckle

I will plan on cooking ribs, brisket, and chicken with my unique Texas style dry rub. I found the original recipe online but had a vision in a drunken stupor that led to some subtle changes in the mixture. It's also fine on redfish or grouper. Sauces are nice for eatin time but cooking should be with a dry rub!

Dry rubs and marinades - that's the way to go alright.

Save the sauces as an enhancement for the food after it's cooked.

Mmmmm.....Texas-style dry rub.....

YUMMY~~~~Cuban marinade? Sounds like a sofrito or mojo criollo marinade both are either sour-orange or blood orange based with lots of cilantro and garlic. I haven't had either in years (since living on the east coast) but they are delicious with red meats and poultry! Can't wait to try it!

Maybe I should make some mofongo to go with?

Sounds like some Mojito's are in order.

It looks like June 4th and 5th are the chosen dates.

Y'all that are scheduled to work then, y'all need to switch schedules or shifts with someone now. Goat

You have a month.

I will begin to get spots and prices. I'll start a new thread to get a count of attendees, campers and non-campers.

Get your recipes out and start plannin' your menu.

Get in here y'all.

OK, I have the Group Campground reserved for June 3 and 4, leaving Sunday, June 5. This operates the same as White Tanks Group Campground did in January. Remadas, tables, electric outlets, restrooms with hot showers. $30 to reserve the campground (I have two weeks to send the check in; once it's in, it's not-refundable) $8. per tent per night, minimum $48 a night so we'd have to have at least six tents each night.

One possible fly in the ointment....NO OPEN FIRES! No Charcoal fires, no fire pit. Gas grills are OK.

Since this is supposed to be a BBQ, do we still wanna do it when we're limited to gas grills?
