Can you tell me where exactly you found those mushrooms? So I can avoid them, of course! |

I have a buddy who when we go hiking we will sometimes try deliberately to get an annoying song running through the other's head. I have a lot more amunition these days as the little critter watches a lot of Sesame Street and other far more annoying kid's shows.
However, my best success has come from the Simpsons.
I slapped him down with "Duff beer for me...Duff beer for you...you have a Duff...I'll have one too..." That brought him to his knees begging for mercy. _________________ "Only small minds want always to be right."

For myself - when I am on the trail and thinking of tunes - I frequently catch myself singing some of the opera and german lied songs that I loved to sing when I was studying voice at ASU. Beethoven is also a frequent contributor to my brain waves. _________________ "Only small minds want always to be right."

One song that comes to mind is by Townes van Zandt. It's called "To Live is to Fly".
Usually though, for some weird reason, I find my self spelling words. Every footfall is a letter. Some words have a rhythm that I naturally get into.
When that happens, there is little I can do to get out of it. Except stop and take a picture. |

Hey - if anybody knows how to locate my brain to begin with - then I can better inform you if the implicated waves are alive or dead. So far, the best guess is: Missing, presumed dead. _________________ "Only small minds want always to be right."

While we're on easy listenin music, how about Bach. Much better than Beethoven by far. Bachs musical work is incredible. Check it out. _________________ "IRONMAN" cometh, hiketh, destroyeth |

Bach, Beethoven, Hayden, Handel, Vivaldi, Schubert, Schumann, Wolf, Mahler, Orff, Rhespighi, Motzart, Rossini, Verdi, Pucini, Copland...........
I like it all. I am probably a Romantic at heart, but I also like high classical and quite a bit of the 20th century Modern style (which most people don't like - the bizare atonal stuff). _________________ "Only small minds want always to be right."

Yesterday it was "Buddy Holly" by Weezer.
(I don't care what they say about us anyway - I don't care about that!) |

Too weird - I was listening to that song three minutes ago, as I was pulling into the library parking lot! |
