OK, on those long hikes...I end up repeating one song over and over again...it usually varies...on my last hike it was Mr. Bogangles by John Denver...before that...Cowboy by Kid Rock...
What songs end up in your head on long hikes? _________________ -Colin

Almost always Bob Dylan, considering thats who I listen to the vast majority of the time. _________________ "In the first place you can't see anything from a car; you've got to get out of the goddamned contraption and walk, better yet crawl, on hands and knees...When traces of blood begin to mark your trail you'll see something, maybe."

Thanx Colin!! I'm gonna go look for it on disc now!!
It's the Crosby, Stills, Nash one....
I also sing the same song over and over during long road trips on my motorcycle. Thanks to your info--I can learn the rest of the words.... _________________ All our dreams come true if we have the courage to pursue them...Walt Disney |

When on my motorcyle in Phoenix I use to sing Staying Alive from the beegees.
I don't think I usually sing much while hiking. For Mountain biking it's usually Metalica. It makes me go faster! For kayaking it's proud mary in the slow water and back to metallica in the fast water. _________________

Concrete Blond, or U2 songs. I also have long imaginary conversations with people in my head.
Not that I hear voices or anything! |

Sometimes I get one in my head that's not what I would have wanted....and those are the hardest to get rid of. Once in the Chiricahuas, I had the theme from Brady Bunch running thru my head for five miles....gotta watch what kinda mushrooms you eat out there |

Hiking out of the Canyon in that blizzard back in 96, I got 99 bottles of beer stuck in my head...for the life of me I couldn't get rid of it...ended up counting down from 99 TWICE! _________________ -Colin
