We are talking Saturday the 15th, right?

My Explorer seats 4 comfortably, 5 if you know each other really well, or would like to.

How about 7 AM from the Dennys on Bell and I-17 on the 15th? I could be talked into earlier if you all feel you'd like to. The Nordic Center opens at 8. I checked the website, looks like some discounts are available on-line and more if we call ourselves a group, but none of it is very expensive. Anyone want to be treasurer?

Now the really important stuff, where do we eat afterward? Is the Junipine Inn still in business? I had a great prime rib there once but it's been a long time.

I'm in....I would really rather go sooner! This snow is AMAZING! I think it's more like down hill skiing, instead of cross country, either way.....I'm totally IN. I like a little variety in my life! Mary

Well, I'd love to go and I don't have to work....sorry Di Sad We'll miss ya!

But it's been numerous years since I've been cross country skiing..I'm thinking 1980 or so but I loved my experience in Stowe, Vermont. I even got some downhill in there but I prefer cross country. So I guess I'd be a "newbie" all over again. Hope that's OK

As long as one of you will pull me out of a snowbank if I happen to fall in!

Count me in! Ok

Mr. Green

Are we still planning to do this? Has anyone made reservations and/or retrieved a price list for equipment rental?

Heck, I'd have fun just sledding down a hill!

Tme to firm this up?

So far Trish, Denise, Hank, Mary, and me have expressed interest. That works for the boy-girl-boy-girl thing at dinner afterwards, but we could use some more folks. Come on you AZ snow-virgins, come up and freeze.

I'm planning to drive, PM me if you'd like a ride. You are certainly welcome. Is 7AM from Denny's at I-17 OK. Earlier? I"m coming from Ahwatukee, that's about an hour earlier start, but I can do earlier if you like.

Hank, where do you want to meet?

I suggest everyone make their own arrangements for the tickets, gear, and reservations; see the link posted earlier.

I'm out of town Sunday night to Tuesday, maybe I can get email. I'll check back asap.

That kinda depends on the roads. My Jimmy is currently inoperative, so I'll have to drive my Accord. If 180 is really bad, I'd like to meet in Flag somewhere and hitch a ride out with someone. If the roads are ok, I'll just drive to the Nordic Center and meet there. I'll know more as the week progresses.. Thanks, Hank

Boy did I find this post too late. I would have loved to come along had I realized. I gotta sign on more often and look around more. Saturday is a no go for me but you guys have a good time. My skis are in the garage for the last 7 years. Trish I'd be like a newbie too. I'm sure a few swooshes and you'll be back.

I think I may go skiing on Monday. Too bad I can't take any pictures of teaching myself how to ski! It would be a whole lot of entertainment thats for sure.
