Good job, Colin - congrats! I was awakened Sunday about 7:30 by someone outside my apartment clapping and yelling for the runners as they passed - I would have come out and cheered you if I had known that was your marathon!

Hey Colin! As I ran my first 5k of the season last weekend I thought of you and was wondering; since you said you are going to stick with 1/2 marathons are you running in the 1st Az Rock and Roll marathon? I have never run in the Rock and Roll but have friends who travel to run them. They say it is alot of fun. I'm doing the 1/2. Think the knees are getting too old run run any farther! Laughing

I just asked my wife if she wanted to run it, it's in January isn't it.

I plan to do the 1/2.

Yep, it's in January. I registered months ago. After paying that hefty fee I figure there is no way out!

Bravo,Kudos, etc., Colin. My hats off to anyone running anything out here in this heat, especially a marathon! I did a few 10k's before all the sinus stuff and it's tough here in the summer. Awesome!! Cool ( My bud's used to live in San Fran and I went to watch the Bay to Breakers a few times. Quite the party!)

I've always wanted to do a marathon. When I heard about the inaguaral Rock n' Roll in Phoenix I said "It's now or never"...so I'm signed up. I did a 1/2 last year, the knees were sore afterwards but I think I can make it.

The fee is $85...sign up before it sells out...this should be exciting...30,000 runners!

It's $55 for the half. I think that's alot. I've never paid more than $25 for a half. I'll be watching for you! After that it'll be the Whiskey Row? Right?
