Intrested in the gear you folks used on the WFW II hike. What kept your gear dry, footwear etc.

I used Salomon mid-high boots. They gripped well except for the algae covered rocks that everyone seemed to slip on. I wore a long sleeve Nylon/polyester shirt by White Sierra. I bought it on sale at Popular a few weeks ago. It did great. I never got chilled and it dried off fairly quickly.

I finally decided on a pair of nike trail runners and was very happy with my choice. I wore a poly/nylon long sleeved pull over with a poly/spandex tank underneath. Never got hot never got cold and dried off rather quickly cept for the lower left sleeve of the long sleeve cause that's the arm I made all my saves with when I started to fall.... All in all good choices.

I did put three grommets in the bottom of my peak bagger at the camp site on Friday and was very glad I did as the bag drained real well and I was able to take it off and put it on with out having to worry about dealing with all the water sealed inside! I never felt like I was weighted down with to much water. This too was a good choice in my opinion.

Colin and I went with a large a fairly light dry duffel bag form REI (Seattle Sports Latitude Stuff Sack – Large, only $23). It worked great, getting you r pack in and out was quite easy and everything stayed dry, it was worth the extra weight.

Yep, I used a dry bag too. I made sure it had plenty of air in it so it would float across the pools. It was even good enough to float me across the pools if I wanted it too. Just couldn't paddle fast enough so I eventually tied a rope tot he bag and drug it along while I swam on my side....
