This topic surfaced last week and I'd like to explore the possibilities. Who would be interested in putting together an AZH softball team? Is there enough interest that we could have a men's team and a coed team? (Sorry ladies, I don't know of any women only leagues. If you do, speak up.) So the questions:

1. Would you be interested in playing?
2. Men's, Coed or both?
3. What position(s) do you prefer to play?
4. Which city would you prefer we play in?
5. Are you willing to contribute to the cost for the league fees, etc?
6. What should be our team colors? (No pink, Hooli!! No )
7. Could you help manage/coach the team(s)?
8. What night(s) would you prefer?

My answers:
1. Yes
2. Both, if I have the time.
3. Outfield (preferably left), shortstop, thirdbase, firstbase or secondbase.
4. Scottsdale (south side), Tempe (northside)
5. Yes
6. The site colors.
7. Yes, if we don't have a team at work.
8. Any except the weekends. Gotta leave that open for hiking!

1. Yes (somtimes travel for work on weekdays though)
2. Men's or Coed works for me
3. Enjoy playing infield but fairly novice player. Will be happy to adapt.
4. Phoenix would be my preference, but live close to Tempe and Scottsdale
5. Absolutely
6. I agree, no pink, besides that not too concenend (i think site colors would be good)
7. Would be happy to, but my coaching skills are limited
8. Travel very little on Sundays and Mondays. Any week day would work, but may have to miss some due to work obligations.

I would love to take part but as with hiking am limited to participation only on my days off which rotate on a two week basis.... with that in mind I will not bother to answer the rest of the questions as I am certain my schedule will take me out of participation..... But I would love to come and support a team on my days off if we were able to get one going !!!!

I think Dave said he would play, too. Is there a way to contact the league and see if there are others that would be interested in merging teams so we have enough players??? If we can't rally enough from this site, of course.

I know some leagues have like a list of players looking for teams. Sign up for fall leagues are fast approaching. Do we have any idea of where we would play yet?
