Thanks Ironman, appreciate your good thoughts. Give your pup lots of loving and lots of attention...you'll get it all back ten-fold.

Took Dew in for followup this morning; she's now on three medications that support liver function. Will have bloodwork redone in three weeks; if significant improvement, good chance it's not tumor. If test values stay same or worse, probabaly is tumor. I just can't see doing biopsy.

Hooli, how's Dew doing? Haven't heard anything for a while. Does she still have a good appetite?

Dew started showing signs of appetite loss this weekend; left food in her bowl for the first time in her life. I just put her evening food down; she sniffed it and walked away. Time to start doctoring her food with different things to keep her eating.

Dew and I will be leaving early tomorrow morning for the Hot Mineral Spa RV resort by the Salton Sea we visited a month ago. Going to join an uncle and good friend.....both the same person.....to swap lies, drink beer, hike, etc. When he was here last week, he fell hard for Dew and she for him.....especially after she climbed in bed with him his first morning here.....the little hussy! Will be back the 28th.
She ate good this morning and again tonight without me doctoring her food.

Just got the results from yesterday's liver function followup tests for Dew; no hoped for improvement from previous test of a month ago which is both good and bad news. Good because it isn't worse; bad because it means the medications she's on have had little or no effect. There's nothing palpable in her abdomen and Bo & Lady both had very palpable masses. Could be hepatitis; could be cancer. Only time will tell because I'm not going to put her through biopsies. Will keep her on current meds: Denosyl, Milk Thistle; Vitamine E and add Prednisone. Had to take her off Flagyl 'cause she had weird reaction to it. Other than appetite becoming somewhat decreased, she's her normal active tail chasing lap loving self. I'm considering getting another adult male Basenji for Dew to keep in line; haven't decided for sure yet, but thinking about it. Bo was a big lovable doofus and Dew and I are both kind of lonely around here without him to keep us laughing.

We're leaving early tomorrow morning for another week to ten days back at the mineral spa RV park by the Salton Sea and visit with uncle who is good medicine for me. Plus Dew gets to do a lot of hiking with me off lead which she loves.

Hooli - you deserve all the medicine you can get. You and Dew. Have a good time and get some of that healing balm of good times with good people into your system.
