I hope he can do it. It would be an absolutely AMAZING accomplishment and it will be very difficult.

Nonetheless, I will be there for the opening time trial and first stage from Liege. I cant wait

You need to add another option - "I really hope so" - that's for all of us that are too chicken to make a firm prediction but really hope for the best.

6 - nobody has ever done it. It would be impressive.

Barring injury or accident -- we will be seeing Lance in Yellow come end of July! I also think this is will be last one -- especially with the challenges the team faces in staying together - they no longer will be "US Postal"

If I have any influence he will!!!

It will be the hardest fought battle if he does. The miles just take something out of you and he has a lot of miles. Everyone said Indurain would go 7 but 5 is all anyone has ever been able to manage.

I do think if anyone can, Lance will.

He has fame and he has fortune and he has heart. Is he still hungry enough and are the legs still there? Those questions will be answered in July.

Yeah if he can do it, that would be quite remarkable. Especially with all the questions about doping, again, for him to overcome yet again would be pretty sweet.

Glen, I totally agree. And for the sport, in our time, it's the overwhelming chance to nail a record that won't be touched again (ignoring the specter of "designer" cheating, etc.) for maybe decades, if ever. However, it is a team sport with many variables, but even so, there's no doubt Lance will be giving it his utmost!

I am also looking forward to seeing how Tyler Hamilton does this time around

I have watched all of them and he is definitely the master. I have not watched the time trial yet today but the rides in the mountains have been superb. Is it too soon to ask about 7? Laughing

There is still a ways to go but his star is still rising faster than anyone else's.
