i have read about the road to Peeley in the past and always with corny warnings about its condition "you must have 4wd" and "its totally washed out" but that was never the case. There are a couple of ruts in the road and some short sections with a few rocks on the trail, but seriously, as of last fall the road was passable with a Taurus. I drive my 1wd Ranger up there 2x a year. I dont think our past winter rains were enough to "wash it out" so to speak. It is in far, far better shape than the road to Rogers Trough. But, you'll never know unless you try!

remember, some people think you need 4wd to go up the driveway - maybe those are the ones you have been talking to

I agree with Mike's assessment of the road. I went to the Mount Peely trailhead on Nov 8, 2008 and it was OK then.

Last year there was a mud slide that affected the road to the Mormon grove tailhead. It's been more than a year since I went there and I would hope that has been cleared but I don't know for sure. If anyone has been there recently, please let us know the condition of that road.
