OK, any person that car camps has considered buying one of those tow behind pop-up campers. Easy of use, reliable shelter, perhaps running water, a comfortable bed, no dirt...whatever the reason, we've all considered the possiblities.

While I'm certain the occupant was glad not to be in a tent...this would still suck...would car insurance or homeowners insurance cover something like this?

It all depends on the insurance company, his coverage, did he back into it, or was it an act of God by the tree falling on it, was the tree dead or alive, so as you see, a lot of variables. But if all else fails, salvage! LOL!!

I worked insurance but it's been ages plus it changes as the wind blows pun intended! Oh yeah, it also depends on the agent and if he'll go to bat for ya with the underwriters. Ahhh don't get me started!! LOL!! I like my life NOW!

OH this reminds me of a claim before I stated at State Farm that was still unresolved when I left! LOL! The insured (or uninsured lol) left their boat on the side of the road unhooked from their vehicle, they went to get something, when they came back the boat was totalled, someone hit it, it damaged state property by hitting state property, and of course it went round and round. Like I said, don't get me started!! LOL!!

Car insurance, even if you have no house and you live in the RV, it's still the car insurance because technically you cant live in a RV.
