Oh my heck!!
I just got a phone call with news that Maverick Scenic Air Tours is in negotiations with the Navajos to possibly set up flights to the Little Colorado. I already know where the helicopter landing pad is located and it's not going to be pretty.

Damage, damage, damage!!! Say it's NOT SO!!!

I've been having dreams/nightmares that a staircase is built with handrails and public restrooms are installed.................please pinch me and tell me it's all a bad dream. Maybe I can get one more trip in before all the tourism begins.

Has anyone else heard anything?

Man that would piss me off, more so than rafting trips that get to take an easy lunch at Elves Chasm. I hope this isn't true or that the first chopper crashes and that they discontinue it. Is that wrong to say?

There was a major air disaster in the area of Temple Butte (?) about a mile SW of the confluence http://www.aircraftarchaeology.com/twa_united_airlines_grand_canyon.htm

I sure do not hope for wrecks but I do not like this plan one wee bit ...now I need to go down Salt trail before the hordes come flying in ....(My raft trip did not even stop at Elves Chasm! - since there was a raft jam in the area)
