Here's a good video as well:

This one gives you a good idea of what could go wrong in one of these rafts. These guys have a few close calls. It still looks like fun!

Mike, are you getting one of these rafts after you sell your kayak? Your timing sucks! I was just getting heavily interested in kayaking. Now who am I going to go paddle with?

I searched for Alpacka raft footage set to the Eagles, but I couldn't find any. Sorry. The music is The Prodigy; I happen to like it a lot.

How small does that pack down to, and how much does it weigh. It seems like it has a tendency to rotate so you're butt-first downstream, much like a snow saucer.

thats an Alpacka raft. go to the website and check the specs, they have 4 sizes. the smallest, the Alpaca is 4lbs. I think the one in the video is the Yukon Yak.

It packs into a roll, maybe 8 - 9 inches in diameter, and around 24 inches long. Mine (the Denali Llama) weighs a bit less than 5 pounds. There are a number of choices for the paddles. The one I got is a four piece carbon fiber assembly that weighs about two pounds...

There isn't much directional stability, being flat bottomed, but if you paddle carefully, you can go in the general direction you want to.... Mr. Green

95% of the stuff on YouTube is worse than television rubbish. Though some things are highly interesting or amusing, in the long of it, you aren't missing much.
