Was planning on a night hike tonight. Kind of chilly and maybe a little breezy. Think instead I just drive out onto the desert, sleep under the stars and watch Orion sail across the night sky.

That sounds fun! I love desert camping in winter.

We had a few inches of snow fall here in town yesterday afternoon. I do believe I will be skiing this weekend!

Heading out again onto the desert. Quite tired, short hike and a sound sleep is planned. Need to wake up early for work though.

I did a night hike on Friday. I arrived at Tortilla Pass around 10 P.M. My friend and I spent the night there. It was a great night to be out. No critter sightings though. We did see a pair of eyes looking at us near Woodbury trailhead. Looked like a ringtail maybe.
