Diane: Go for your own Plateau Point hike ...if you want and even call it Diane's Birthday Hike!.

Can you pick your B'day dates so I can space the other Canyon hike ...

Ambika you must have been reading my mind.
Ever since the Yuma Point hike I've wanted to try more.
Hike to Indian Gardens and use as a base to hike elsewhere has been a thought mulling in my brain since.

Sounds like a good idea!

Well, I really had no control over when my birthday was....

I usually try and do it as close to my birthday as possible so I can legitimatly call it a birthday hike.... that would leave me either the 26/27th of April or the3/4th of May, those being the weekend before and after my birthday....Would it work best for you if I planned mine for the weekend before if you are planning early May?

Go for either of those weekend since its highly likely I will be on going to India then.

Me thinks I will do a Plateau point 2 nighter in 2nd week of April or earlier if I can't get the permits that I want.

Yes n No -- with 16 -- 2 hikes may even work. I know the dates near Diane's B'day are a no-go for me Sad
