In case anyone wasn't already aware, Stage 1 fire restrictions are in place starting this last week on the Kaibab, Tonto, and Prescott National Forests. In addition, there are fire restrictions in the Red Rocks Ranger District of the Coconino. Not sure about the A-S or the Coronado.

None on the A-S right now. I guess the Memorial Day hordes are free to burn us out up here!

Seems like the restrictions didn't start on the Kaibab till later last year, but I could be mistaken.

Fire restrictions to start all over the Coconino this Friday. A-S has them in place now too, I understand.

Fire restrictions on the A bar S are only WEST OF MCNARY, west of FR 224.

Over here on the east side of the forest it is quite moist, and it has been raining at least once a week. So, the Springerville and Alpine Ranger Districts do not have fire restrictions at all. This includes Mt. Baldy, Escudilla, Hannagan Meadow, Black River, Blue River, etc.

I've tried to hike the AZ trail on the Kaibab over the July 4th weekend for what seems like 3 years now, fire or fire restrictions have been an issue each time. Hoping to try for a 4th attempt this year.

Thanks for the clarification.
