I'd recommend cooking the sausage before the trip and then doing as suggested with the egg beaters - recontain (uncooked) and freeze both. That should keep for a day or so when well insulated in the middle of your pack.

Then you can stir fry in a day or two, and wrap in tortilla's (which are great for pb & honey) as snacks too. Unfortunately, I love salsa and refried beans and hashbrowns with my Chorizo - so, I will save that meal for in the city.

Another option, is summer sausage and eggs - very good and already cooked and preserved - good fats too! Very Happy
