The dead have some great music and have influenced many famous and incredible musicians from all walks of life including people like Carlos Santana. Mickey Hart is one of the drummers. His solo stuff is what I was referring to. He travels all over the world to places like Africa finding really cool "no name" musicians and brings them on tour with him. I saw him in NYC last year with a band that consisted of 18 drummers/percussions, keyboardist a bass and guitar player. Check out his website www.mickeyhart.net.
