This morning I clipped in to my xc skis, skied right off the front porch and down the street. Skied over to Main and up to Water Canyon Road. Finally got to the edge of town in Water Canyon. The snow was better up there. Skied along the road, seeing elk, coyote and bunny tracks here and there. Saw one bunny.

After about an hour and a half I turned around and skied back home--slightly down hill. I'll post a few photos after I go home from work.

I work in Springerville--the streets are very wet, but the sidewalks, parking lots, roofs, etc. are still covered with snow.

The trick is to get out there before the town workers put the cinders down. Cinders will stop you in your tracks! I started at 6:15, my way lighted by the street lights. By the time I came back into town from Water Canyon they had put the cinders down. I was able to ski on the sidewalks, though.
