When the Man waked up he said, "What is Wild Dog doing here?" And the Woman said, "His name is not Wild Dog anymore, but the First Friend, because he will be our friend for always and always and always. Take him with you when you go hunting."

OK... due to an "unpresidented power surge at the finish line" posted times were incorrect and new ones have been posted so now they are saying I crossed in 2:48:00. HOWEVER! David, the chaplain I was running with crossed after I did and his time is less than mine by almost two min! I am so bummed! I will probably never know what my time really was! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

Diane, you'll just have to beat that time in your next half marathon. I know you can do it too! _________________ It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. -- Carl Sagan |

Last yyear during a cycling event was quite the race last 20 miles I was hammering along. Crossed the finish line and the entourage came up nd presented me with a bronze medal. For about 20 min. I thought I finished third until I found out that they give a bronze medal to the first 50. I actually finshed 13th. During the event I stopped and helped a lady with a flat after reviewing the event times and based upon my ride time alone on my computer I would have placed third. I have been told that a hert rate monitor and some of the wireless cycling computer may cause interference with the timing chips. |
