It has been a long time since I was last here. I need to re-introduce myself to all of you here since it's clearly been too long for me to be remembered! Anyone interested in helping out though, I.E. giving me a good reason to re-enter the world of real people and fun travel, give me a couple suggestions for things going on. Thank you! |
Dylan, it's great to see you back... start reading some of those 13+k and you'll get plenty of ideas... looks like some fun stuff coming up, check out "upcoming events"... get in on it dude... l b |

That is one amazing coincidence, had I been paying attention to that before hand, I would have made it exactly on the anniversary if you will.

You know I did not catch that at all until you pointed it out. I guess my eyes are getting bad after a year of not reading these posts!

Now is this a reference to the poop book that Hooli got at the Christmas party I attended. You know, the one that some among us claimed was oh so appropriate? I mean I would never reference something of the sort, but now that you brought it up... _________________ -Dylan Anderson

That sounds real cool, both litterally and figuratively. I would be very interested in attending. As for the BBQ, if you are talking about the one Tim posted, I read that and would like to do it. Middle of Sept. is a long way away for me at the moment though, so I will have no idea if it will be possible for at least a couple of weeks. _________________ -Dylan Anderson

Well there is lot's of other stuff too! I need to start doing some major training for the Rim-to-Rim. Just got back from the N. Rim. Did some good hiking and felt good to be up North. This heat is killing me! I am a heat woose! I'm going to be doing some early morning and late night (after the sun goes down) hikes in town if you or anyone else is interested. _________________ Be the change you wish to see in the world.

Have you been out here in AZ long? Of course I have lived here all my life and I am actually becoming LESS aclimated to the heat. How is that possible?
As for other events, I intend to attend as many as I possibly can because I need to get some training in as well. There was a time when many miles were possible for me, these days a few sets of stairs seem to be enough!
Ok, perhapse it isn't that bad, but I am continuing to work on a desk body the longer I let work rule my life, so I need to fix that... _________________ -Dylan Anderson

Well, the best way to get moving is to get moving right? Yes I am a native. I lived in a few other places... CA and Hawaii and the Summer heat just takes a lot out of me if I am exercising. I am okay if the sun is not shining on me. If it is, I better be able to jump in a creek or off a cliff!
There is a dinner planned for the 8th of August I think. It's on the group events board. _________________ Be the change you wish to see in the world.

I just came across that. 13K posts takes a while! I am going to try and get a friend of mine to go, and if he can, I can. We are partners in a lot of business I do, and so I feel less like a flake if he quits work at the same time as I do! _________________ -Dylan Anderson

I was a real estate agent for many years. I made gobs of money working 10 to 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week! I still work for myself, but now I try to balance my work and personal time -- giving each equal weight.
What's amazing is I work outside now, and even though I prefer warm to cold, the temperature swings don't bother me too much.

Not too much Sarah. We are doing some MAJOR renovations at my property so its looking like my true "season" isn't going to get really hitting until January.
Although, Its giving me alot more hiking time. Which is wonderful.
You need to get out with us again. Angel Basin was a good time.
