Drove out tonight to th Mineral Mountains SE of Florence Junction and visited the townste of Reymert. Quite warm, did not observe any snakes. I took my blackllight but was able to locate lots of scorpions. Some rocks and minerals also glowed but not sure of the names though. I was planning on a hike to a nearby spring but settled for sitting near the smelter and observing the night sky.
