I agree. I haven't seen a digital camera yet that has the warmth of a 4x5 or even a well exicuted 35.

I was speaking of writing stuff IGO, not digital vs film. I would never get into that disscussion. I shoot both film and digital for specific reasons and do have my own views, many of them tangential to other views. With your level of photography, you do have a rightfull place to give your thoughts for sure.
As for the dozer, I don't know what the story of abandoning such an expensive machine like that might be. Seems like they could haved repaired the track. It was a very strange place out there. I did get to stay in Martin Milner's old room. I didn't know who he was either or recognize his photo, but was pleasantly surprised later. _________________ Seize from every moment its unique novelty and do not prepare your joys

I have it on very good authority that the Waterman Phileas is a very good pen. Pendemonium is getting 40 bucks for them. Just scroll down the page to the fountain pens. Fine nibs are my favorite. I have purchased ink there. The two guys who told me have a lot of experience in fountain pens and one has a collections of literally hundreds with many very expensive ones. _________________ Seize from every moment its unique novelty and do not prepare your joys
