I could do the half, as long as I can just walk it... Hiking
I don't like running either

Come on...you can't get a good endorphin rush from just walking! I'm going to train for a marathon in April (still haven't decided which one), so if I'm far enough along in the training, I may try to do the half.

Anyone done the race before? I've heard it's a lot of fun.

Unless they changed the course significantly it sucks. The least interesting course I've ever done.

In spite of that I'm doing the half for part of my training for a marathon in March.

Ambika, Tracy, your gonna be sorry you showed interest. I won't be able to leave this alone. I'm ready when you are. Then after that you'll be ready for Prescott.

Si-na-ti, did you do it last year?....They changed the course different from the first years b/c they had so many complaints (although the times were faster last year and they apparently weren't thrilled about that, so they may be planning another change this year...)

I can't imagine a marathon as flat as the PF Chang being of great interest. The great thing about the SF Marathon was the variety; from Golden Gate Park, down along China Basin, out to Fort Point under the Golden Gate Bridge, back in along the Embarcadero and Fisherman's Wharf, through the financial district.....lots of hills....gasp, gasp....Has to be one of the top Marathon courses in the country. Truth is, the training was much tougher than the race itself, mainly because the race was mid August and I was training after work in temps usually in the mid-80's to mid 90's in Walnut Creek. Temp during the race never got over 65 degrees and, except for a few minutes along china Basin, sky was overcast and didn't see the sun.
As to Prescott, the altitude there would be the killer, I think.

I did the 10k in the very first Whiskey Row Marathon. The altitude is definitely a factor. And as I recall, there aren't a lot of hills, just one. But that hill is the entire course....

Run with something more scenic, The Lost Dutchman Marathon. Month earlier than PF Changs.
