I did a white water rafting trip on the upper Salt River Saturday and just wanted to say what a great time it was. The upper Salt is beautiful, the guides were fun, the rapids were great (class III and IV)... $120 for the day and I thought it was well worth it. I would do it again in a heartbeat. A highly reccomended Arizona day trip. They provide lunch and shuttle, all you need to do is show up and paddle.

We used Wilderness Aware and I would strongly recommend them. They will be my first choice on my next trip.

Hey Daryl,

I went rafting the Upper Salt that same weekend. We did the 2 day trip and it was a blast! My first experience in white water. We took a tumble through 'Mescal' rapids and I got to 'swim' the rapids...what a ride!

We went with Blue Sky and they were great also:

Dang it, i got all excited about planning a trip to do this when i saw it last night. Then this morning I see that it only runs until the end of may.

Anyone have any ideas for rafting at the end of July in AZ?

A warning with Blue Sky though...

We tried to book a trip through them spring of last year and they ended up canceling the day before the trip because water flows were too low. Not a big deal, it happens... However, it took them 3 months to return our money ($120/person)! We made several phone calls and started a complaint with the BBB before they finally refunded us. They kept telling us it was on the way, they sent it last week...
