Does anyone know if Schnebly Hill Road in Sedona becomes impassable with rains? I'm trying to decide if I should cancel a Sedona trip Saturday.
Thanks _________________

The Coconino National Forest website posted this information:
Schnebly Hill road #153 is open ONLY from Sedona to the gate at Merry-Go-Round.
The open section does get quite rutted over the winter, but it should be passable since they still have it open. |

As of 2/16 they also posted this note:
We've had a significant mud slide at 2 miles up Schnebly Hill Road leaving about 9 feet of remaining road width and forcing traffic to the outside edge of the road. On this outside edge there is signs of cracking in the soil...Thus the road is unsafe and closed to all traffic.
Do you feel lucky?...
