I'm planning on getting to Flag by 8:30 or 9:00. I'll call Mary on her cell as I approach, and we can arrange a place to meet in Flag. I'd like to ride out to the Nordic Center with the rest of you...
I dug my skis out last night. It has been a long time.. I hope I remember how to do this
See you tomorrow! |

Well, I was free the 15th when I originally posted, but now I have a hike. I was leading a hike in the Supers last Saturday but I postponed it till this Saturday because it threstened rain last weekend (but never did), so I have a group of 12 people to take into the Supes tomorrow.

If you've ever seen me ski, you'd know that I often come close to doing that.... |

I suppose my skiing could be likend to a stand-up comedy act.... except I'm not standing up all that often...
But it is fun, nevertheless! |

What a blast! I haven't laughed that much in a long time.
The San Fran peaks are just gorgeous with the snow. Conditions were pretty good in the morning but quickly deteriorated around noon as temps got near 50. Trails became pretty icy and we know what that means.
The Spandex Man sighting was hysterical although I thought I was going to mow down Mary.
"I've fallen and can't get up" has new meaning for me. Thanks sredfield and Hnak for lending me a helping hand. Those skis are slippery little buggers.

Desertboots, thanks for the recommendations of this trekk. I had a blast, despite losing count of my falls. I only wish that I could be like the spandex boys....they are awesome skiers. They literally skied circles around us. The weather was good, the company great and I wish I could do this every day. The is such serenity in woods covered in snow. Mary |
