Stand back sis, I'll handle this. Mr. Green

this is my Paladin, "Have gun, will travel" period. My mother though a young seven year old lad should be well dressed to keep the devil out of him. Didn't work though.

There are many jealous people out there Ken. Mr. Green

On a side note I have hear rumors that a Movie may be in the making or at least talk of it with John Travolta as Paladin.

I had a set of cap pistols similar to those, but since Paladin was way past my youth (Hell, TV was way past my youth!) they were more along the lines of Hopalong Cassidy, Roy Rogers and Gene Autry.....biggest problem is I was so porridge skinny they kept slipping down around my ankles and tripping me!

And NO to Travolta as Paladin! Only Richard Boone could carry that role off!

If he plays it right and does not smile, as Richard Boone did not smile I think it would work (Pulp Fiction). There are a few others I would consider good for the role like Tommy Lee Jones, Robert Duvall or Russell Crow. I just want to see it happen.

Glen, I was thinking about old shows, since you brought up Paladin and remembered one that I'll bet you watched and maybe had an influence upon you. Do you remember "Sky King"? It was a little before my time... early '50s, but I watched it in "re-runs" as a kid. Planes and adventure...

Ya know, Sky King was also a radio show in the 40's. I used to listen to Sky King, Captain Midnight.......they had some great radio shows that let your image making mind draw amazing mental pictures!

You are most definately before my time Hoolie. Radio is for music. Mr. Green

I remember those re-runs Ken, good show. I love to fly. It is a way to adventure for sure. Many of the hikes I do are from flying and laying over somewhere. The afternoons are for ground adventure and the time right around sundown is the very best time for photography. Sunrise is as well but I am booked with the pursuit of mapping work in those hours.

When I was ten we lived in Phoenix. I spent my money at Yellow Front which was filled with great military surplus. For 29 cents, I got a great leather flying helmet. Little did I know I would fly far more hours than most airplane pilots in my career.
