I usually wait for an outfitter to contact me via e-mail when they are running specials. Last place I used was eBay. Backcountrystore, backcountrygear, mountaingear, mountainhut, hikingmood, and even summithut.
Now if I could find discounted freezedry meals...

Wal mart sells a small selection of Mountain House and that place over by Bun Huggers discounts them a couple of times each year.

Both Wal-Marts in Scottsdale and the one in Payson discontinued Mountain House. I remember a buddy telling me they were on sale for a dollar. Bout 2 years ago.
Which Wally world has them? The one on Beulah?

I shop walmart for wildly overpriced things like sun lotion. Freeze dried food has a ridiculous markup because it is priced like gear not food.
