I hiked the Go John/Overton loop Saturday 1/18/03 with the hiking club we've formed at work. This was the first real turnout we've had, there were five of us. We did the full loop, counter-clockwise. It's around 6 to 6.5 miles, we finished in just under 2 hours. The weather was absolutely perfect. If you haven't done this loop, you should give it a try, this is one of the nicest hikes in the Valley.

This was the first hike that anyone from work, besides me, actually showed up. In November, there was one former coworker (aka 'xprime' here) and jmzblond joined us.

I didn't take the GPS on this trip. We were moving so fast that I wouldn't have had time to mark any waypoints, as it was. We literally stopped 3 or 4 times, and most of those were to take photos. Hiking

We hiked this loop counter-clockwise mid morning today. Started in light rain. The purple color this brought out in the rocks was unreal, just beautiful. Really enjoyed this hike, an easy six miler. Most notable is the trail condition. Compared to many, this trail is groomed and a no brainer to follow.
