Is there any way of putting a time restriction on sticky notes and announcements? The "Events" forum is looking kind of odd these days with things like "Eli's Poll" getting pushed off my screen from all the permanent messages (9 at current count) that stay at the top even without any recent posts.
Maybe I'm just being anal about it - but I like it far better when the most active posts are the ones at the top of the order. _________________ "Only small minds want always to be right."

Sounds like a job for a moderator... Seriously, the topics should be changed to a normal type once the event has occurred. The original author, a moderator, or an admin can make that change. Announcements and stickys are at the top due to their importance. That makes it easier for new members (or anyone really) to find them. If anything, we're probably guilty of announcement/sticky abuse. _________________ [/size] |
