Now, I know this topic may be something that will spark some political discussion. However, that is not the intent of this post. What I want to do here is point you to this site about global warming: The Discovery of Global Warming. It is the complete version of this book placed online. The WHOLE book. A very impressive undertaking, especially considering that a book is normally published to make money, and by publishing it on the web you're basically removing a large portion of revenue.
Anyway, no matter which side of the debate you fall on the material in this book is very useful. If you are still questioning if global warming is a real phenomenon that is caused by human activity - this may provide some information that will, if nothing else, help you understand how a large portion of the scientific community came to their conclusions. If you support the idea of global warming, you fill find lots of interesting history of how the conclusions were made. There is also a good summary of climatology in general and a really good discussion of the scientific method in practical application.
I highly recommend reading some if not all of it. _________________ "Only small minds want always to be right."
