Mine is an image generated by this program - not terribly exciting, but fun.

I'll be putting up a better avatar later this week.

This thread spurred me to get off my duff and finally post an avatar for this site.

My photo was taken on the Harding Icefield trail in Kenai Fjords National Park, Alaska.

I changed my avatar to reflect the best part of hiking and backpacking. This one was taken in Royal Arch Creek, part of a 6-day Royal Arch loop trip I did a couple years ago... Hank Sleeping

I've never fell asleep on a hike, just too much to look at.

My pic has an interesting history....

On the HAZ site, The owner, Joe used to have his avatar pic wearing a yellow hat... always. Then Rodney came along and began to " Photoshop " the hat onto other objects, such as a cactus, a fence post and even a cow... It was very funny. Eventually He put the hat on me on a photo taken on a Quartz Peak hike.

So, I never wore a yellow hat in real life, The backgraound is a mountian in alaska. Rodney even created the shadow cast on my eyes to make it look realistic.

I think He did a very good job. I got permission from Joe to use the pic ( after all, it was his hat ), he agreed, and the rest is as they say, history.

GTG and The Lawnmower Man were also along on that trek.

I've changed from the above. This new one is a photo that Kent took real close to the true summit of the Ridgeline and the other side of that boulder I'm clinging to is a very steep drop. HikerInGilbert's avatar is from the same location.
