An update on my Asolo Fugitives...

I ended up sending my old pair to Dave Page, Cobbler. Hope they come back better than new! I'll report later on how they turn out.

My newer pair has, up to this point, been a real disappointment as they've given me blisters on the back of my heels. I think I've finally solved this though by getting a pair of "heel-cups" for them. So far the boots feel like my old pair! A longer trial period will tell the real story, but I'm now very optimistic!

Here's a link to the heel cups.

Another update on the Asolo Fugitives...

Got them back from Dave Page, Cobbler a couple of days ago. The new soles are better than the originals, with deeper tread. They did a very nice job on them. I wore them all day yesterday and they felt as comfortable as when they were much newer.

The total cost for the soles, new laces and return shipping was around $86.00. Not cheap, but less than buying a new pair of the same or similar boots. Additionally, these already fit perfectly.

Cool Deal then Ken.... Better than new and all broke in.

Sounds like alot for re-sole, but in the long run sounds like better deal.
I think it was worth your $$.

Enjoy them all over again Wink

Does anyone know where I can obtain the proper hiking equipment to use in the event I should encounter a "fiscal cliff"? I have been reading so much about them lately, that I am thinking I'd better be prepared. THX
