This hike had it all- wildlife sightings, waterfalls, rainbows, and a visit to a gorgeous swimming hole!

Beautiful, one of my favorite places to go.
I call it Land of the Lost as you escape the Sabino Crowds and they are only about 1/4 mile down the trail.
Have you hiked to Miner's Pool via the canyon?

And some people think Phoenix is better than Tucson for access to hiking? Get real!

Enjoyed the photos, Sirena!

Except for getting to Flagstaff and Sedona area. The drive through Black canyon City and up toward Sunset Rest area is Brutal every weekend.

Sedona? Probably not my first choice of hiking areas if I lived in Phoenix. But Phoenix does have closer access to the Supes, the Mazatzals, 4 peaks, Cherry Creek, Bloody Basin, E. Verde, the Rim, WCC, Wet Beaver, etc.

I have not yet made it to Miner's Pool, but it is definitely on my list!

Easy hike just past the end of the tram road. Wonder if it is still nice and deep these days, after all the changes that have occurred in Sabino.
