Nice to hear you're doing the AZT, I think if I remember you've been working on this one and wanting to do for a while.

Sorry to hear that it is slightly delayed and your nursing a wound Crying or Very sad Hope you and Hank both heal quickly.

Hang in there, I'm sure as soon as you are able you'll be up and hitting that trail again!

It goes remarkably well. No pain anymore, doing PT 3 X week. I'm hoping to re-start in about 2 weeks. Won't be doing 20-mile days for awhile but hope to be making progress. Thanks for asking.

Your slight delay sounds like it is over and mended... Take it easy out on your first day out. Glad to hear you are better and back to working on your goal

Thanks for all the good wishes and positive vibes. I restarted Tuesday, made it to Pine early this morning. Taking a day of R&R to baby the bum leg (just in case, it's holding up fine), will start again Monday morning.

The Mazatzal Divide trail is a tough slog, lots of dead and down trees blocking it and heavy underbrush regrowth. The descent to the river is a toe killer. The Hardscrabble Mesa section north of the East Fork of the Verde River is so aptly named-mostly old lava flow.

Was planning to camp at Blue Ridge or Rock Crossing until Monday. If I did you may be hiking thru the Camgrounds Sunday or Monday. Postponed my trip and added some days for later in the month. Coworker is camping at Verde Glen or Washington Park this weekend. Glad to note yor back on the trail. June issue of Arizona Highways has an article about the Arizona Trail.
