Enjoy your backpack! I will be leading my traditional Hiker's Only potluck Thanksgiving Day out in SNP West to Wasson Peak. The best way to celebrate holidays is out on the trail. _________________ Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life. - Rachel Carson |

It's here! Happy Turkey DAY!!!!
So much to be thankful for this year. It's wonderful that there's a holiday just for counting blessings.
I too am thankful for this community.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

Happy Thanksgiving ! Posted some pictures of some wild turkeys I observed earlier in the week. Driving on AZ 288 I came across this flock as I was entering the community of Young. Also observed turkeys at Reynolds Creek and Gordon Canyon, Whitetail deer at Rose Creek, Elk at Sharp Creek and Christopher Creek. Numerous tassel eared squirrels every where and about a hundred ducks and at least two hundred geese at the park in Payson. |

Happy Thanksgiving!
My kids are all visiting me, along with grandbaby and daughter-in-law. They all brought bicycles, so we have been doing a lot of rides. Yesterday they had a scare when I wasn't with them, they saw a mtn. lion in the trail! THANKfully it ran off!!!
Today we got all the food started, put the turkey in, and went for a bike ride while it cooked, then came home and ate it! |
