Tracy and I have been training for our up comming rim to rim rest rim to rim in the mornings at Squaw Peak. That hike is coming up really soon. I am excited for it as I missed it last year!

Then there is a 9 day back pack in the Canyon I am so looking forward to! We are taking my Step Mom on her first big Grand Canyon back pack. I know she is excited!

So I have been around, just so very busy.... It sure would be nice if we could get this board going again and make it as active and lively as it once was! I miss it! I keep an eye on the activities and join in when I can but I am trying not to sign up for every thing then have to drop out at the last second if stuff comes up.....

I hear you Diane, been busy myself and sporadically get on. Just too much going on lately.
I too don't sign up, don't know my schedule and so I try last minute to join in if it doesn't have any limitations. Things just haven't seemed to work out for me lately. Been a few that I've wanted to go, thought I could then last minute couldn't. Hate to keep saying the sameo sameo, can't go gotta work. Hoping something will work out for a couple of them coming up.

I too miss the chatter, was fun reading and sometimes responding, but there is one part missing now that seemed to always say something that caused a ruckus... Hooli is missed. We need an alternate Ruckus maker !! Mr. Green

I miss Hooli, too!

I can't go on any trips at all--I work all the time. Wish I could hike with some of you who come up here, though. But usually you guys post something and I see you were up here, but I wouldn't have been able to meet you anyway, because I was working that day. All work and no play...

I was over booked through July with hikes and trail projects just about every weekend, then it slacked off and work demands picked up. Have to do another stint in Washington for a month--God only knows why--then hopefully starting sometime in the middle of December I'm going to have all the time in the world for hiking.

So it goes . . .

So, PageRob, I assume you're employed now?

I bemoan the loss of my early morning bike rides--it's too dark now. I love midsummer when I can start riding before 5 a.m.

I like my weekend job at the guest ranch, but lead fewer hikes there than I had hoped to. It seems that a lot of guests don't want the exercise or something. Sad I do other stuff with them that's fun, such as making leather belts, archery, etc.

Congrats Rob, glad things worked out for you work wise but has hampered your hiking. Maybe during some of the school breaks you'll be able to venture out again Wink
