One option for September could be the Chiricahuas and Rustler Park (believe we did that a few years back), but I'm not sure what the fire damage is there. Anybody been up there and have any idea?

I had completely overlooked that - the gov't shutdown will close the park (and all national parks). Run down the trail fast!!!
