Plans have changed for that weekend. I have been doing some outdoor work with Inner City tucson kids and we are taking a few camping to Parker Canyon lake that weekend.

On the positive side: most of the parks are open at least part time. Lyman Lake opens June 17.
Oracle State park is closed and only open for certain private events.

I would love to do an extended road trip with a big comfy tent. I have my little backpacking tent.
Looking forward to Spring Break next week to actually spend two days in it in Arivipia canyon.

That area should have mesquites and junipers. Beautiful area!

I still carry a bear can. Then I can sit on it at night.
I haven't carried the bear can since I had to carry all the extra water weight.

I was just in the Sups last weekend and it was pretty dry .
I did Coffee Flat to Reed's Water. We didn't make it up Randolph Canyon although once we got to that spot is was nice and green!
