The Grand Canyon r2r2r hike has become a MUST do on my bucket list! I have been reading and researching as much as possible, talked to a guy who did it in 24 hrs. I\\\'m back and forth on a need for a guide. We have never been to Grand Canyon. Will prob have small group of 2-4. My plan is to go next calendar year and start at south rim, stay overnight at lodge on north rim, hike back to south the next day. We have plenty of time to train, although in MS we don\\\'t have any Similar terrain. I have read that most Guides will not go r2r in one day. Do I have any other option? Do we really need a guide? We don\\\'t have time off to do 3-4 nights with a guided group. We really want to make this happen, but we want to be prepared. Any info and guidance greatly appreciated!
